Three travelling ideas

  • Order words tell what happens in order: first, then, next, after that, last.
  • Use them to tell a journey: “First I leave home. Then I cross the road. Next I pass the park. Last I reach school.”

Put it in order.

First wake up, then brush teeth, next eat breakfast, last go to school. Order words keep the story neat.

  • Position words tell where: on, under, near, behind, in front of, between.
  • The shop is near my house. The dog sits under the tree. The bus stops in front of the gate.
  • Between means in the middle of two things.
  • The park is between the school and the shop. School on one side, shop on the other, park in the middle.
Tip: use between for two things, and among for many. “between two friends,” “among many friends.”
