Three little ideas

  • In the morning we say “Good morning”; in the evening, “Good evening”; at bedtime, “Good night”.
  • Other hellos“Hello” and “Namaste” (with folded hands) are warm ways to greet.
  • Look and smile — greet with a smile so the other person feels happy.

Which one? You meet your teacher at 8 in the morning.

Say “Good morning, ma'am!” with a smile.

  • Please — when you ask for something: “May I have a pencil, please?”
  • Thank you — when someone helps or gives you something.
  • Sorry — when you make a mistake or hurt someone by accident.
  • “How are you?”“I am fine, thank you.”
  • “Hello!” → say “Hello!” back. “Thank you”“You're welcome.”
  • Listen first — hear what is said, then give a kind reply.
Remember: greeting words and polite words go with a smile and a kind voice.
